Q: When should we plan this Marrakech and Sahara tour?

We help choose dates around your preferred pace and comfort in Marrakech, the mountains and the desert. Bring layers for cooler evenings and the High Atlas crossing, plus sun protection for the dunes. Tell us if you are sensitive to heat or cold so we can recommend suitable dates and daily timings. Mountain road conditions may require adjustments, which our team coordinates with you.

Q: Is seven days enough, and how much driving is involved?

Seven days works well for Marrakech and the Sahara when you are comfortable with long scenic drives. This route includes three nights in Marrakech, one in Dades Valley and two near Merzouga: a desert camp and a hotel. Fes, Chefchaouen and the Atlantic coast are not included. The return from Merzouga takes approximately 9–10 hours of driving, plus breaks; we can add an overnight stop or suggest a longer tour if you prefer.

Q: Can we change the route or arrival airport?

Yes. This is a private suggested itinerary, so we can change hotels, walks and activities to suit your party. The sample starts and ends in Marrakech. A different airport, an extra stop or a shorter driving day changes the route and may require more nights. Share your flights and interests before booking, and we will prepare a suitable proposal.

Q: How do we book, and what does the price cover?

Send your dates, party size and preferred package. We confirm the route, named accommodations, room types, services and total price before requesting a 30% deposit. Displayed prices are per person based on two guests traveling privately; prices per person may be lower for larger parties. Choose Luxury, Premium Luxury or VIP All-Inclusive. Your proposal explains the exact hotels, camp, meals, payment options and any optional extras.

Q: What if we need to cancel or postpone?

The 30% deposit is non-refundable. If an emergency prevents travel, contact us promptly: the deposit can be reused within two years of your original departure date, subject to the confirmed booking terms. Hotel cancellation policies and any costs vary by property and notice period. We explain the applicable conditions in your proposal before you confirm.

Q: Do we have to ride camels, and what are the Sahara stays like?

You do not have to ride a camel. We can arrange a vehicle transfer to the camp instead. The two Sahara nights normally combine one night in a selected camp with one in a Merzouga hotel. Your proposal confirms the camp, tent category, bathroom arrangements and services. Tell us about mobility needs before booking so we can plan a suitable transfer and stay. Pack a small overnight bag for camp, comfortable closed shoes, sun protection and layers for the evening. The private 4×4 outing introduces the wider Merzouga area; ATV and buggy activities are optional extras. We can adapt visits for children and dietary needs when informed in advance.

Day 01 :

Arrival in Marrakech

Welcome to Marrakech. Your driver meets you at the airport for a private transfer to your hotel or riad. Settle in and rest after your flight. If your arrival time allows, enjoy a relaxed introduction to the medina or Jemaa el-Fna, without rushing into a full sightseeing programme. Your travel team is available for restaurant suggestions and assistance throughout your journey.

Day 02 :

Marrakech with a Licensed Local Guide

Discover Marrakech’s historic quarters with a licensed local guide. Explore Bahia Palace and the Saadian Tombs, subject to opening arrangements, to see decorated courtyards, tilework and carved details. View the Koutoubia Mosque from outside, then continue through the souks toward Jemaa el-Fna. Your guide adapts the walk around your interests and pace, with time for lunch and café breaks. Majorelle Garden and other additional visits can be arranged separately, with advance tickets where required.

Day 03 :

Marrakech → High Atlas → Ait Ben Haddou → Dades

Leave Marrakech early and cross the High Atlas through the Tizi n’Tichka pass. Stop at Ait Ben Haddou to explore the UNESCO-listed ksar, where earthen houses, towers and narrow lanes introduce southern Morocco’s building traditions. Upper viewpoints involve steps and uneven paths; a shorter visit is possible. Continue through the Ouarzazate area and valley landscapes toward Dades. We allow time for lunch and breaks, with optional studio or museum visits agreed in advance rather than adding every stop to this long transfer day.

Day 04 :

Dades → Todra Gorge → Erfoud → Sahara Camp

After breakfast, travel from Dades Valley toward Tinghir, with a stop to look across its palm oasis. Continue into Todra Gorge for a gentle walk beneath the high limestone walls. Your driver allows time for photos, lunch and comfort breaks before continuing through Erfoud toward Merzouga. Near the Erg Chebbi dunes, meet your desert team for a camel ride or a vehicle transfer to your selected camp. Enjoy dinner and a relaxed desert evening. We plan the journey to arrive before dark; sunset and stargazing depend on conditions.

Day 05 :

Merzouga: Private 4×4 Outing & Desert Life

After breakfast at camp, explore the Merzouga area on a private 4×4 outing. Discover desert landscapes beyond the dunes and visit Khamlia for an introduction to local Gnaoua music. Other stops follow your interests and local conditions; any visit with families is arranged respectfully and depends on their availability. Allow time for lunch, payable separately under the Luxury Package unless confirmed in your proposal, before checking into your hotel near the dunes. Relax in the afternoon or arrange an optional ATV or buggy outing at extra cost.

Day 06 :

Merzouga → Rissani → Alnif → Marrakech

Leave Merzouga early for the longest driving day of the journey. Travel via Rissani and Alnif to Ouarzazate, then return along the Ait Ben Haddou road and cross the High Atlas through Tizi n’Tichka to Marrakech. We plan regular comfort breaks and a lunch stop, keeping sightseeing light on this transfer day. The mountain road, traffic and weather affect your arrival time. An extra overnight stop can be added if you prefer to split the journey. Settle into your Marrakech hotel or riad for a relaxed final evening.
