We select the main stops to allow lunch and comfortable breaks. Continue into the Rif Mountains to Chefchaouen. Settle into your accommodation and enjoy a relaxed evening around Outa el Hammam Square or the blue medina lanes.

Discover Chefchaouen with a local guide, then enjoy time to explore at your own pace. Walk through blue-painted lanes and small squares, learning about daily life and the town’s mountain setting. Pause around Outa el Hammam Square and the Ras el Ma area, with time for a café break and local crafts. Paths can include steps and slopes, so the walking route is adapted to your comfort. A second night here gives you a slower day between the longer road journeys.

Leave Chefchaouen after breakfast and travel to Volubilis. With your licensed guide, explore the Roman-era remains, including mosaic floors, former houses and public buildings. The open-air site has uneven paths and little shade, so comfortable shoes and sun protection are useful. Continue to Meknes for selected views of this imperial city and a lunch break before reaching Fes. The balance of visits follows opening arrangements and your pace.

Explore the UNESCO-listed ksar, where earthen houses, defensive towers and narrow passages illustrate southern Morocco’s building traditions. Upper viewpoints involve uneven steps and uphill paths; a shorter visit is possible. After lunch, continue across the High Atlas through the Tizi n’Tichka pass to Marrakech. Additional film-studio or museum visits can be discussed as alternatives, allowing enough time for breaks on this long transfer day.
