Turkey in 10 Days: Istanbul, Cappadocia, Pamukkale & Ephesus
Ten days that bring together the places most people dream of seeing in Turkey. Begin in Istanbul with Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque, then fly to Cappadocia for its fairy chimneys, rock-cut churches and a dawn balloon flight over the valleys. A second flight takes you west to the Aegean, where you watch the sun set over the white terraces of Pamukkale and walk the marble streets of Ephesus, before you fly back to Istanbul for Topkapi Palace and a cruise on the Bosphorus.
The route is built so that no day asks too much of you. Three short domestic flights replace the long drive across the Anatolian plateau, you see no more than two major sites in a day, and you stay at least two nights everywhere except Pamukkale. Two nights by the sea near Ephesus leave time for a swim and a free afternoon, and four nights in Istanbul mean slow breakfasts and quiet evenings by the water. Depending on the package you choose, you stay in high-end 4-star hotels and cave hotels, or in some of the finest 5-star and boutique properties in Turkey.
