Explore Tunisia over 8 days and 7 nights, combining Tunis, Carthage, Sidi Bou Said, Kairouan, El Jem and Matmata with the Sahara near Douz, Tozeur’s oasis region and a final coastal stay. This is a full touring route with longer road days; we can adapt it before booking if you prefer more time in fewer places.

Day 01 :

Arrival in Tunis

Meet your private driver at the airport and transfer to your selected hotel in Tunis. Settle in after your journey and enjoy time to relax. If your arrival schedule allows, take a gentle introduction to the medina with its historic lanes, local shops and daily life.

Day 02 :

Carthage & Sidi Bou Said

Discover the ancient sites of Carthage with your local guide, then continue to Sidi Bou Said for its blue-and-white streets and Mediterranean views. Enjoy time for a relaxed walk and a café stop. An optional Bardo Museum visit can be arranged according to opening arrangements and the time available.

Day 03 :

Tunis to Kairouan

Travel south to Kairouan and explore its historic medina with your guide. Visit the Great Mosque according to visitor access arrangements and discover traditional crafts, including local carpet workshops. Settle into your selected hotel and enjoy a quieter evening in this historic city.

Day 04 :

Kairouan, El Jem & Matmata

Leave Kairouan for El Jem to explore its impressive Roman amphitheater with your guide. Continue south to Matmata, known for its traditional underground homes. Settle into your selected accommodation after a full day of travel and sightseeing.

Matmata to Douz & the Sahara

Travel to Douz and continue with the desert arrangements confirmed in your proposal. A camel ride or guided 4×4 outing offers time among the dunes, depending on your chosen program and local conditions. Settle into your selected camp and enjoy the desert evening.
