Yes. Your driver, vehicle and guides are for your party only, and the route is tailored with you before you book. Hotels, desert camps, restaurants and monuments are of course shared with other guests; exclusive access is only included when it is listed in your proposal.

Every package uses carefully selected properties. The Luxury Package uses high-end 4-star and standard 5-star hotels; Premium Luxury moves up to top 5-star hotels and boutique stays; and VIP All-Inclusive uses the most luxurious properties available at each stop, with suites where possible. In the Sahara you stay in a selected desert camp with private tents and en-suite facilities. Your proposal names every hotel, camp and room type before you book.

Entry for 2026. Citizens of the US, Canada, the UK and EU countries do not need a visa for a tourist stay in Tunisia (UK citizens up to 90 days); other nationalities may need one arranged in advance. Your passport should be valid for your whole stay, and officers may ask for your return ticket and hotel details, which we provide. Tunisian dinars cannot be taken out of the country, so keep exchange receipts and change back what you do not spend. Rules depend on your nationality, so please check them before you travel.

What to wear. Tunisia is relaxed, but clothes that cover the shoulders and knees are best in the medinas and at the Great Mosque of Kairouan, where non-Muslim visitors see the courtyard and look into the prayer hall from the doorway. Swimwear is fine at hotel pools and beaches. In the desert, a hat, sunglasses and a light scarf against wind and sand are useful.

Weather. March to May and October to November are the best months for the south. From June to August the desert is very hot, often above 40°C (104°F) in Tozeur and Douz, so we start early and rest in the middle of the day. From November to February, desert nights can drop close to freezing, so bring a warm layer for the camp. The coast and Djerba are pleasant for swimming from June to October.

Fitness. Average fitness is enough. The camel ride at sunset lasts about an hour (you can walk into the dunes instead), and El Jem and the Matmata cave homes have steps. The longest drive, from Kairouan to Tozeur, is about four hours with a lunch stop.

Children and single travelers. Children aged 6–12 have a reduced price and infants aged 0–5 travel free. A single supplement applies if you travel alone; ask us for it.

Tips. Tips are not included and are always your choice. As a guide, about 20–30 dinars per day for your driver and 30–40 dinars per guided day for local guides, and around 10–20 dinars per party for the camp team and your 4×4 driver. In restaurants, about 10% is usual.

Safety. The towns and sites on this route are welcoming and used to visitors. Our routes avoid the areas along the Algerian and Libyan borders, in line with current UK and US government travel advice. We follow the latest official advice for your nationality, and our team stays in touch with you throughout your journey.

March to May and late September to November are the most comfortable months, warm enough for the coast and mild in the desert. Summer is very hot inland, so we plan early starts and long, restful middays if you travel then. Winter days in the Sahara are pleasant, but nights at the camp can be cold.

Only one day has a drive of about four hours, and it is followed by a free afternoon. Some mornings start early to make the most of the cooler hours, and we can adjust the pace before you book.

Groups of four adults save approximately 20% per person and groups of six approximately 30%. VIP prices are starting prices.
